The stores are part of the “fast fashion” trend retailers that specialize in quickly created, reasonably priced collections based on the most recent runway styles from high-end designers. Janice Curtin, Vintage Faire senior manager of marketing, said Love Culture is the kind of store that consumers have been asking for. “I think (the store) is meeting market demand,” Curtin said. “It’s following what the economy is dictating right now. Our shoppers want to be fashionable, yet they need that clothing to look trendy without breaking their budget.
They can follow the trends, stay current, look great and save money.” The store will take about 8,000 square feet formerly occupied by Radio Shack, Hallmark and a portion of Wet Seal. Curtin said the retailer hopes to be open in time for the holiday season, like its neighbor H&M, which will occupy the 20,000-square-foot space next door. Love Culture has stores across the country, including one at the Westfield Galleria at Roseville.

LOS ANGELES – The Disney movie “G-Force” shows a squad of specially trained, computer-generated guinea pig spies coming to the world’s rescue. With the movie out in theaters, though, animal activists say it is real-life guinea pigs who will need rescuing. Some guinea pig rescue groups have already posted pleas to those who might rush out to buy the furry little rodents.
“I can tell you, every single rescue in the United States and abroad took a look at that movie trailer and said, ‘Oh God, here we go,’” said Whitney Potsus, vice president of The Critter Connection, Inc. The Orange County Cavy (aka guinea pig) Haven in Costa Mesa has already posted urgent Internet pleas to parents asking them to say no when their children beg for guinea pigs. It’s happened before.

Reading a few other comments, I just want to say that I think it would have been impossible to badmouth this piece even if the judges were so inclined. It is an “important” piece - an issue piece. And I am not sure those pieces belong on the COMPETITION show.
Because, bottom line, you have to still be able to critique the dancers. What I immediately thought during the pre-interview was – oh no, it will be praised no matter what. I had no problem with the scarf.

London, July 23 : Scientists at the University of East Anglia are looking for 40 post-menopausal women with type 2 diabetes willing to eat two pieces of Belgian chocolate a day for 365 daysall in the name of research. The boffins are actually studying the possible health benefits of the tasty treat and need the female participants to test their specially made bars. Doctors want to see if the flavonoid compounds in chocolate can reduce the risk of heart disease, reports The Sun. In order to create the special “bitter” bars rich in flavonoids, a Belgian chocolatier has been called in.
The pre-requisites for volunteers are they must be post-menopausal, under 76, non-smokers, HRT and cholesterol lowering drugs free and have Type 2 diabetes. Volunteers will also have to give blood and urine samples, have an ultrasound of their arteries and fill in a questionnaire about their lifestyle.

Tonight’s “Wanted” assembles a team of veteran terrorist hunters, former soldiers and other undercover types who would not be out of place on “The Unit.” They scour the globe to build a case against radical cleric Mullah Krekar, a man who has been called “Bin Laden 2.0″ for organizing and inciting suicide bombings and other violence. Despite international arrest warrants, Krekar now lives in Norway.
Many Norwegians fear that he is fomenting new attacks against the West, but their government seems reluctant to hand him over to either the Americans or Iraqis. For all of the hints of impending action, “Wanted” boils down to a tangled legal and diplomatic affair. By the end of the hour (which includes an interview with the cleric), it’s tough to ascertain just who “The Wanted” considers worse, the terrorist or the namby-pamby Norwegian bureaucrats who stand in the way of justice – not to mention a tidy dramatic resolution.

There is no need to try extra hard to find online the cache version of Erin Andrews peephole video for download. Today, the internet population has been obsessed with the Erin Andrews video, but wherever you go there is not even a cached version. However, a lawyer says she will sue and take legal action to defend herself.
According to “a lawyer for the popular ESPN sideline reporter says that she was unwittingly videotaped through a peephole in a hotel room without her consent and that she intends to take legal action against the still unknown perpetrators.” The video, which was later posted on the Internet, showed a woman without clothes. Reports say the initial video posting made no direct reference to Erin Andrews being that woman, but her attorney later confirmed it. “While alone in the privacy of her hotel room, Erin Andrews was surreptitiously videotaped without her knowledge or consent,” Andrews’ attorney, Marshall B. Grossman, said in a statement via PR Newswire.

Cohen rode the whirlwind with his staggeringly funny “Borat,” and in his latest work, he’s brought another of his memorable fools to the big screen. Cohen’s Borat Sagdiyev was a swarthy, hairy, lovable buffoon eager to learn all about America. Bruno, also played by Cohen — only this time with blond hair, waxed chest and a bubble-butt — is a primped and preening fashion reporter in his beloved Austria. He is also deliriously gay.
He loves sex with men, but more importantly to him, he wants the entire world to love him. His goal is to be the “most famous Austrian since Hitler” and also the most famous “gay movie star since Arnold Schwarzenegger.” Those quotes surround Bruno’s words, not mine. So after a particularly rough time at a fashion show — his Velcro suit gets him in a sticky situation — and his being banned from A-List parties, Bruno heads for Los Angeles hoping to become an international sensation.

NFL looks into allegations against Roethlisberger
22/07/2009 by juliaerwinFormer NBA all-star Antoine Walker said nothing in a Las Vegas court Monday about criminal charges that he failed to repay $822,500 in casino gambling debts. The 6-foot-9 Walker also declined to comment outside the courtroom after appearing briefly with his lawyer, Jonathan Powell, on three felony counts of writing bad checks. Powell also declined to comment. Walker was not asked to enter a plea before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melanie Andress-Tobiasson set a Sept. 16 evidentiary hearing date.
“Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone. The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct,” Roethlisberger lawyer David Cornwell said in a statement. “If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated.” He did not immediately reply to a phone message and e-mail seeking more comment.
